Happy New Year

Happy new year sparkly

It is New Years Eve and time to reflect so I am reflecting on you. You are so very awesome. Like a few other women who have written on this blog I was very intimidated when I first met you. I had heard about you before then because my mother and husband couldn't stop talking about how great you are. So smart, so poised, so cool. I was not inclined to like you very much. Then you show up and are beautiful on top of all that. I just couldn't feel comfortable, and we had to share an office. I was so nervous at first, but you were so nice and so I stopped feeling so insecure. I am so glad that I let my guard down and that we have become friends. You have been one of my favorite people for a while now and I am feeling very lucky that you are in my life. So happy new year Sparkly. I know that first you are going to kick that cancers ass so that is a big way to start the year. I can't wait for that part of the year to be done so that you can come home and things can get normal again. My new Years resolution is to strive to be more like you. Smart, poised, cool, STRONG and generally awesome. That and to lose ten pounds but that doesn't really have anything to do with you.
